Makemi is a blog devoted to the art of “making” and to share my love for fashion and crafts with likeminded people. I’ve decided to document it all: the inspiration, the process, and the results of my own personal project as well as profile the people who inspire me along the way.
I heart nature, asymmetrical silhouettes, androgynous designs, the lost and the forgotten (tailoring and crafting techniques), historical costumes, bold palettes, and the slightly theatrical. I appreciate modular designs which can be buttoned or arranged differently to transform the look or better yet, the function. I work with both new and recycled materials.
